1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account, signing in, making a pick, or donating on this site, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not register and do not use the site.

2. About the pool

The WYSA World Cup Pools 2026 is a free-to-enter prediction contest run by the Woodford Youth Soccer Association (“WYSA”), a Kentucky 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, as a community-building fundraiser for our youth soccer programs. Participants predict the outcomes of matches in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The participant with the most points at the end of the tournament receives bragging rights.

The pool is a contest of skill (predicting football match outcomes) with no entry fee and no monetary prize. WYSA does not consider the pool to be a wager, lottery, raffle, or any other form of charitable gaming under Kentucky law.

3. Who can enter (18+)

You must be at least 18 years of age to register or participate. At registration you must confirm your age with the required checkbox; WYSA records the date and time of that confirmation. The pool is not directed at children. If WYSA learns that a registered participant is under 18, WYSA will close the account and delete the picks.

There is no residency requirement — anyone 18 or older may enter from any jurisdiction in which doing so is lawful. It is your responsibility to confirm that participating is lawful where you live.

4. Your account

  • You must give accurate information at registration: a working email, your real first and last name, and a bracket display name that is not offensive, misleading, or impersonating another person.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password confidential. WYSA will never ask you for your password.
  • One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to multiply your chances will result in all of your accounts being closed.
  • You may close your account at any time by contacting us.

5. Picks, scoring, and the leaderboard

The current scoring rules are published on the site (Admin → Scoring) and on the leaderboard page. Summary:

  • Each correct group-stage match prediction (Win / Draw / Loss): 1 point. Maximum 72.
  • Each correct Round-of-32 winner: 2 points. Maximum 32.
  • Each correct Round-of-16 winner: 3 points. Maximum 24.
  • Each correct Quarterfinal winner: 5 points. Maximum 20.
  • Each correct Semifinal winner: 8 points. Maximum 16.
  • Correct Final winner: 13 points.
  • Maximum total: 177 points.
  • Tiebreaker: closest prediction to the actual total number of penalty-kick goals across all knockout-round shootouts.

Match results entered by WYSA administrators are final. If you spot a data-entry mistake, contact us promptly. WYSA reserves the right to correct scoring errors and recompute the leaderboard at any time.

6. Deadline and locked brackets

All picks must be submitted before noon Eastern Time on June 11, 2026 (the kick-off of the first match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup). After that moment, the brackets are locked and no further changes can be made. A WYSA administrator may manually lock the brackets earlier if circumstances require.

7. Prize

The prize for finishing first is bragging rights only. There is no cash prize, no merchandise, no certificate, and no other thing of value awarded by WYSA. WYSA may publicly congratulate the winner by their bracket display name; if you do not want your bracket display name announced publicly, contact us before the tournament concludes.

8. Pledges and donations are voluntary

At any point during the pool you may pledge a donation to WYSA via the /donate page on this site. Pledges and the donations that follow support WYSA’s youth-soccer programs, including the Financial Assistance Program. Pledges and donations:

  • Are entirely voluntary.
  • Do not affect your entry, your standing in the pool, your scoring, or your eligibility to win.
  • Pledgers, donors, and non-donors compete on identical terms.
  • The pledge itself records your intent and (if you provide one) a note. No money moves at the pledge stage.
  • The actual donation happens when you click the secure link we'll email you. That link takes you to WYSA's donation store on GotSport. GotSport handles your card details directly; neither this site nor WYSA ever sees them.
  • Processing fee. GotSport adds a software processing fee on top of the donation amount, shown to you at checkout. The total charged to your card is therefore slightly more than the amount you selected (for example, a small fee on $20, and a larger fee on $100). The full donation amount is paid to WYSA; the fee is paid to GotSport for the use of their platform.
  • Are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. WYSA is a Kentucky 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. A donation acknowledgment letter suitable for tax filing will be emailed to donors after the tournament concludes (typically before December 31, 2026).

No goods or services are provided in exchange for a pledge or donation. The pool entry is free to everyone, regardless of whether you pledge or donate.

9. Pledges and donation refunds

A pledge is a non-binding statement of intent. You can submit additional pledges at any time to revise your amount; we'll use the most recent one when we send your donation link. There is nothing to refund at the pledge stage because no money moved.

Donations are intended as charitable contributions to WYSA and are non-refundable by default. However, WYSA will refund a donation in the following circumstances:

  • Mistake or duplicate charge: contact WYSA within 14 days and we will refund the donation in full.
  • Before the tournament starts: if you change your mind any time before noon ET on June 11, 2026, contact WYSA and we will refund the donation in full.
  • Disputed charge: if you dispute the charge through your bank or card issuer, the refund will be processed through GotSport; your donor status on the site will be removed.

After the tournament begins, refund requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Refunds reduce WYSA’s ability to fund youth-soccer programs, so we appreciate donors who let the contribution stand.

10. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Create more than one account.
  • Use a bracket display name that is offensive, threatening, harassing, defamatory, or that impersonates another person.
  • Attempt to access, modify, or interfere with any other participant’s account, picks, or score.
  • Probe, scan, or attempt to compromise the security of the website or its servers.
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to register accounts, submit picks, or read other participants’ data.
  • Use the site for any purpose that is unlawful in your jurisdiction.

11. Suspension and termination

WYSA may suspend or close any account that, in WYSA’s reasonable judgment, violates these terms or harms other participants or WYSA. WYSA will give notice by email where reasonably possible. WYSA may also close the entire pool at any time; if WYSA does so, any donations made will be refunded on request.

12. No warranty

The site is provided “as is” and “as available.” WYSA does not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. WYSA does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of match results, scoring, or leaderboard standings. WYSA disclaims all warranties, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by Kentucky law.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Kentucky law, WYSA, its officers, directors, volunteers, and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the site or participation in the pool. WYSA’s total liability to any participant under these terms is limited to the amount of that participant’s voluntary donations to WYSA in the 12 months preceding the claim.

14. Changes to these terms

WYSA may update these terms from time to time. The “Effective” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update. Material changes will be emailed to signed-in users. Your continued use of the site after the effective date of a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Woodford County, Kentucky, and you and WYSA each consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
